Public Realm Study - available to view

The long-awaited Public Realm Study commissioned by the Parish Council is now available to view on our website. Click here.

The Study was commissioned to help address concerns expressed in the Community Survey conducted in 2017. The brief was while preserving the unique character of West Hill and protecting the rural environment, to suggest ideas to enhance the village centre, improve safe walking routes and road safety, enhance public spaces for public benefit, and consider the scope for recreational activities.

The ideas put forward in the Study warrant careful consideration and consultation with residents and others concerned. Inevitably there are significant financial implications. Councillors have agreed that safe walking routes through the village should be a priority
policy, especially pedestrian safety around the Primary School, and are taking this forward urgently. The Parish Council would welcome feedback and ideas by residents.

A hard copy of the Study will be kept by the Parish Clerk and is available to view by appointment. Email clerk@westhillparishcouncil.gov.uk
