Notice of Casual Vacancy
A casual vacancy has arisen on West Hill Parish Council following the resignation of a councillor.
In accordance with the Local Government Act 1972, an election to fill the vacancy will be held if, within 14 working days of the publication of the notice, a request is made in writing by ten local government electors for the area to:
The Returning Officer
East Devon District Council
Blackdown House
Border Road
Honiton
EX14 1EJ
When calculating the 14 working-day period, weekends, bank holidays and certain other specified days are excluded.
If no request for an election is received within the required timescale, the vacancy will be filled by co-option by West Hill Parish Council.
