Casual Vacancy
Following the resignation of a Councillor there is a casual vacancy on West Hill Parish Council. The Clerk has advised EDDC. Following the Local Government Act 1972 any ten electors for the electoral area may give notice requesting that an election be held to fill such a vacancy. Such notice must be in writing and must be given to:
The Returning Officer, EDDC, Council Offices, Blackdown House, Heathpark Industrial Estate, Honiton EX14 1EJ
within fourteen days (computed in accordance with Rule 2 of the said Rules) of the date of publication of this notice.
If no such notice is made the vacancy will be filled by co-option as soon as practicable thereafter.
