The Parish Council has launched two surveys aimed at gathering residents' views on how West Hill should evolve over the next 10-15 years. One survey is for residents aged over 18 and the other is for younger residents aged 11-17.
The findings of the surveys will shape the development of policies in a new Neighbourhood Plan for West Hill. Neighbourhood Plans enable local communities to have more influence on development in its area, such as setting planning policies on housing and community facilities. The plan can also help determine what new buildings look like, guide how infrastructure is provided, and provide tools that help people plan for development that aligns with their local needs.
During the autumn of 2025, a summary of the survey responses will be compiled and published in the Parish Council’s newsletter and website.
Both surveys are online, but paper copies are available in Morrisons Daily, West Hill, for anyone without access to the internet.

The surveys close on 19th July 2025.
This is just the beginning of the process and developing a Neighbourhood Plan takes a long time. Over the coming months, more resident input will be sought and regular updates posted on our website.
