Traffic & Road Safety Consultation

The Parish Council wants to hear your views .......

Speeding cars - they're the number one traffic concern raised by West Hill residents during the past few months. The local Speedwatch group regularly record cars exceeding the speed limit in places across the village.

Children walking safely to and from school is another area for concern.  Speeding cars, narrow roads and the lack of footpaths put pedestrians at risk.

West Hill Parish Council has been working with Traffic Consultants, PJA, to explore ways in which to make the village roads safer for pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders and motorists.  Over recent months the consultants have carried out workshops with local residents, measured traffic speeds and collected data on traffic travelling through the village.  They have completed their report and will present it to the village on Friday 22nd March 3.00-6.30pm at West Hill Village Hall.

They will present proposals designed to calm traffic speeds, improve walking routes and improve safety at some of the key road junctions.

The Parish Council want to hear your views.  Please come along to the informal drop-in session to see the proposals and discuss them with the Parish Council and Traffic Consultations.

It's your village - have your say
